My first guild invite was during the betas. It was a random tell and I thought
what the hell, it's beta! They actually turned out to be nice folks for the most part and seemed quite generous. All that considered, it still didn't seem like the "right" guild for my husband and I so we created our own after January's beta. Since then, it's been wonderful!! I was worried about attracting members, but I can honestly say that I've met the best bunch of people and all without advertising ingame. (Most found us!)We simply made available our intent and were very clear on what we were looking for and how we we're going to run things. I believe this greatly helped attract the wonderful folks we have come to share the game with. So really, I feel there is a guild out there for everyone. I agree with the sentiment posted earlier about doing some looking and actively trying to find what seems the best fit. There are a lot of great guilds about. most of them lowkey when it comes to advertisement I'd imagine. All that said, nothing is a gaurantee when dealing with other people. I think it's worth it in the end though. |
